Emanuel A. LoPresto Memorial Inter-Club Photography Competition Rules

Eligibility:

1. Only images submitted by current members in good standing of the participating
   clubs are eligible.
2. No image may be entered in this competition more than once. Any image previously
   submitted to the competition, including images that did not receive an award, is
   ineligible for future entry.
3. Eligible images must have been entered into the photographer's club competition
   during the preceding calendar year. For example, images entered in club
   competition between January 1, 2026, and December 31, 2026, are eligible for the
   April 2027 competition.
4. Both digital images and photographs previously entered as prints are eligible. Prints
   must be converted to a digital image by the photographer for submission to this
   competition.

Number of Entries:

Each club will submit a total of 60 digital images.

Scoring Format:

1. Each judge shall score every image on a scale of 1 to 9.
2. The scores from both judges shall be combined to produce a total score for each
   image.
3. To determine the winning club, the total scores of all images submitted by each
   club shall be added together. The club with the highest cumulative score shall be
   declared the winner.
4.  In the event of a tie, the club with the greater number of images receiving a
   combined score of 18 shall be declared the winner.
5. First, Second, and Third Place awards shall be determined as follows:
   1. Following the initial scoring, the top 20% of images, based on their scores, will
      advance to a final review by the judges. These images will be recognized as
      Honorable Mentions.
   2.  From this group, the judges shall select the First, Second, and Third Place
      winners and provide commentary during the selection process.
   3. Ribbons shall be awarded to the photographers of the First, Second, and Third
      Place winners.

Awards and Recognition:

1. Janet LoPresto shall donate a perpetual award plaque to be presented annually to
   the winning club.
2. Janet LoPresto shall also provide a supply of First Place, Second Place, and Third
   Place ribbons to both clubs for individual award winners.
3. The winning club shall be responsible for arranging and paying for the engraving of
   the perpetual plaque with the club's name and year of victory.
4. The perpetual plaque shall be presented to the president of the winning club at the
   winning club's annual awards banquet by a representative of the other participating
   club.
