From September through May, we meet every first and third Wednesday of each month at The Buffalo Museum of Science at 1020 Humboldt Parkway, Buffalo, NY 14211-1293. The venue is the museum's theater, which features a world-class screen for projected images and theater seating.   Meetings start at 6:30 PM and close by 9:30 PM. Visitors are welcome to attend any meeting at no cost. Since Summer is the time to photograph with the family, the club does not meet during June, July, or August. Please see our schedule on this website for more details.

The Club Helps Members Achieve Their Photographic Goals:

Listed below are some of the activities the Club offers as a means to follow your passion.  As a community, it is up to the members to determine what best fits their needs.

Feedback:  The first meeting of every month is a competition.  Following specified guidelines, members enter digital and print images evaluated by experienced judges outside the club.  One key benefit of competition is that everyone views the entries and hears the judges' comments, which will help all understand how to improve their photography.

Education:  The second meeting of every month is program night, featuring topics of interest to the club members.  These sessions are intended to foster knowledge and understanding and to support all members in becoming better photographers.

Hands-on: Several opportunities for field trips are offered each year, and the club encourages member participation.

Informal Connections:  One of the most significant benefits of community is that one can always connect with other Club members to learn a new skill or to solve problems.  The Club environment is key to facilitating these interactions.

Outings:  Club members go as a group to interesting locations for photographic opportunities.

Membership:

The annual individual membership fee is $40.00, and a family membership is $50.00. Students over 18 with a School ID can join for free.

Only paid members can enter pictures in competitions.  Visitors, please feel free to drop in at any meeting.  We welcome all levels of photography.
