April 19, 2023 - Program - Larry Mathewson: "Art of Sports"
Sports photography is Exciting, Fast paced, sometimes Scary and Demanding at many levels. Progressing from local junior teams to High school competitions to Provincial/State travel teams and finally Professional competitions. Equipment may include cell phones, point and shoot cameras, bridge cameras, or ultimately high end DSLR or mirrorless cameras.
Events can be indoors or outdoors, daytime or nighttime. Under poor lighting most of the time. The higher the level of competition the more in-depth an understanding of each game is required. We will discuss...some ideas on obtaining permissions to shoot or qualifying to be an up-close photographer. What equipment and camera settings as well as where and when to position yourself for best results. The final question?
Can I sell these images?
